While there are always things to do in L.A,, there is one part of the city that is by far and away one of the best spots and can’t be missed! With a neighborhood feel within the city, North Hollywood is a must-visit for anyone coming out to LA.
Magnolia Boulevard
If Halloween is the vibe to aim for, it doesn’t get much better than Magnolia Boulevard either! Speaking of which, let’s get into it! Walk down the strip of Magnolia, where there is no shortage of Halloween stores and museums to visit.

Check out the Mystic Museum and be immersed in a world of the unique and macabre, complete with real bug displays from across the globe, an authentic human skeleton, fortune tellers, Ouija boards, and so much more, and soon, they are opening a whole new exhibit for the viewing!

Just down the way is the Halloween Boodega, filled with some of the cutest monster displays, a wide assortment of candy available for purchase, and even a large television for photo ops too. Visit with My Pet Monster, in full size, as he towers over their visitors, and head to the back of the store to see Freddy Krueger himself on full display.

One of the best Halloween stores in the area, Halloweentown is a great addition to this strip as well. With a full Halloween statue display in the front of the store, an endless amount of Halloween items to purchase, displays filled with spooky goodies to see, Halloween movies playing over the speakers, and a balcony display, this is a store that simply cannot be missed. Even Coraline herself awaits on the steps for any brave enough to pass her by to say hello.

Blast From The Past
Speaking of displays, not only is Blast From The Past one of the largest comic stores in the area, but it’s also filled to the brim with a vast amount of figurines, Funko pops, comic books, and vintage displays for anyone who is a comic book enthusiast. Whether visitors are interested in purchasing some authentic comic paraphernalia or just interested in some displays that will bring them back to their childhood, Blast From the Past is a must-see.

Runyon Canyon
Looking for somewhere to hike that promises an incredible view of L.A? Then Runyon Canyon is the perfect place to do so. With pet-friendly trails that vary in difficulty from 1.9 miles up to 3.3 miles, there’s a trail for anyone to enjoy, each with its own unique view of Los Angeles that is unmatched. Along the way, enjoy the view of the canyon as hikers get higher, say hello to some furry friends, soak in the beautiful foliage and wildlife, and spend some time in the abundant sunshine. At the top of the 1.9 mile trail where this blogger went, find the love locks fence where hundreds of people have left their mark in the form of their favorite locks to commemorate the occasion. For a hike that can’t be forgotten, be sure to take a trip to Runyon Canyon while visiting North Hollywood!
